Biography

Eric Eustace Williams was a Trinidadian historian and statesman who served as the first Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago from 1962 until his death in 1981. His landmark work Capitalism and Slavery argued that the profits of slavery financed the British Industrial Revolution. He is known as the "Father of the Nation."
